Networking

Networking is a great way to build your customer base and increase sales. The Chamber of Commerce encourages business owners, sales representatives, and other key staff to make time to network. Although it is often easy to become overwhelmed with the day-to-day tasks of running the business, don’t wait for sales to suffer to be reminded of the importance of connecting with potential customers. Ambassadors

Serving as an Ambassador allows you to become more involved in your business community. This results in increased networking opportunities enhanced visibility of your business, and numerous opportunities to market and promote your products and services.

Ribbon Cuttings

A ribbon cutting ceremony offers a special opportunity to introduce yourself and your products and services to your neighbors and the local community. Ribbon cuttings are not limited to new businesses but are also available to showcase changes in ownership, management, or location.

Referrals

Get referrals from local and regional inquiries. The Chamber processes inquiries requesting information regularly and will always recommend a member company first. The Chamber’s Online Member Directory is a great resource for new customers to gain familiarity with you and your business.

Website

The Glencoe Chamber has integrated our database with ChamberMaster enabling your business to be able to log in and display your business description, hours, location, Facebook and LinkedIn URLs, and up to eight keywords for when visitors are searching the site. Visitors can email your contact info or send a text to their cell phone from your listing. The website allows you to post jobs, and events.

Gift Certificates – Glencoe Bucks

The Chamber promotes that you shop local! Glencoe Bucks are available at the Chamber office and can be purchased by businesses and individuals. Certificates are redeemable only at participating Chamber member businesses ensuring the money stays locally. The Glencoe Bucks are spent like cash except that they cannot be redeemed for cash by the gift recipient. You can see a list of Chamber Members by going to our Member Directory.

The Chamber strives to inform our membership and the community at large, on a variety of business-related topics.
